Club Car Introduces New Precedent® Stretch Personal Transportation Vehicle New Four-Passenger Electric Vehicle is Great for Neighborhood Transportation and Small Businesses

 – Club Car introduces the versatile new Precedent Stretch personal transportation vehicle (PTV). It combines unsurpassed power and durability with four forward-facing seats and 35 additional inches of legroom, for people who want to take the long view. The vehicle is available to individual consumers in the U.S. and Canada. It is not available for fleet sales or intended for use in commercial applications.

"In the Precedent Stretch PTV, you don’t have to leave a friend or relative behind or sitting on a rear-facing seat. The vehicle’s automotive design fosters conversation, camaraderie and comfort. It delivers the most front and rear legroom of any four-passenger vehicle in its class,” says Product Manager David Woodward
The Precedent Stretch PTV comes with a maximum speed of 15 mph or with Club Car’s 19-mph Private Use Speed Option, making it ideal for neighborhood transportation.
Engineered to Carry the Load
Many small four-passenger vehicles are simply traditional golf cars that have been extended by a third-party provider, often putting the OEM warranty at risk. The Precedent Stretch PTV was designed to carry the additional length and weight. The car is equipped with 10 percent more battery capacity, providing more range than competitive vehicles. The system features:
  • A rugged 3.7-hp IQ Plus™ electric motor
  • A 350-amp controll
  • A heavy-duty solenoid
  • Four-gauge battery wires
  • Regenerative brakes that capture and store energy used during braking, extending the miles per charge
Durable, Environmentally Safe and Family-friendly
The vehicle uses no gas and releases no carbon emissions. It comes with:
  • A spacious bagwell for groceries, gear or two sets of clubs.
  • An exclusive rustproof, corrosion-resistant, 2-x-3-inch tubular aluminum frame that makes it more impact resistant than steel frames.
  • An extended Monsoon Top™ Canopy with built-in drains that channel water to the ground.
  • A heavy-duty SportDrive™ Steering and Suspension System for a smoother ride and better handling.
  • An integrated rear-passenger grab bar, a five-panel mirror and improved rear braking for safety.
  • One of the longest, most inclusive warranties in its class.
Heads Off Charging Errors
The Precedent Stretch PTV has a new charging system known as ERIC (Efficient. Reliable. Intelligent. Connected.).
“The solid-state, high-frequency system works globally, keeps charging even during voltage fluctuations, and outsmarts common user errors,” says Woodward.
ERIC issues audio and visual alerts to inform owners when charging begins, when the car is fully charged and of any problems with the charger. On-car dash lights alert you when the battery state of charge falls to 20 and then 10 percent charge so you don’t get stranded.
Unlike chargers in competitive vehicles, ERIC continuously monitors the battery pack after charging and delivers power as needed. It can be charged through a standard 110-volt outlet, and comes with a standard single-point watering system that makes battery maintenance quick and easy.

Valentine's Day Seduction: Gemperle Farms Reveals Recipe for Love

TURLOCK, Calif., Feb. 3, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- With Valentine's Day quickly
approaching, Gemperle Farms has put together the perfect recipe to seduce your
partner: the Chocolate Chili Molten Lover Cake. This tasty recipe features several
ingredients valued for their abilities to increase desire.

"At Gemperle Farms, we understand the nutritional punch of the egg. After we looked
at the folklore surrounding aphrodisiacs, we decided it was time to have some fun,
" Gemperle Family Farms Vice President Mike Gemperle said. "Everyone deserves
a romantic Valentine's Day. We are trying to do our part to promote happiness
and love through this delicious recipe."
Throughout history, cultures around the world have believed that certain foods
have the power to increase love. These foods, known as aphrodisiacs, are believed
to enhance mood and increase desire. While the FDA doesn't support the notion
of aphrodisiacs, historical folklore suggests differently. For centuries, both Asian
and American natives believe chilies can promote desire because they raise body
temperature. Honey has been viewed as an aphrodisiac since the time of the
Greeks when Hippocrates prescribed it for vigor. Even the word honeymoon
comes from the month following marriage when couples used to drink honey
nightly in hopes of conceiving.

Chocolate, the food of choice on Valentine's Day includes chemical substances
in the brain, phenylethylamine and tryptophan. Phenylethylamine activates the
hippocampus, which induces pleasurable sensations that increase dopamine
adrenaline and endorphins. Tryptophan helps produce serotonin, which
elevates mood and arousal.

Other aphrodisiac ingredients in the Chocolate Chili Molten Lover Cake
that promote desire include eggs and almonds. These ingredients are packed
with protein, vitamins and nutrients, such as zinc, Omega 3s and magnesium,
all things that help get your blood pumping. Protein assists with prolonged energy
 and stamina.
At Gemperle Farms, we wanted to put our lover's cake recipe to the aphrodisiac
test. Over 20 people tested the Chocolate Chili Molten Lover Cake Recipe
and the results showed these ingredients promote passion. The majority stated
that they "noticed a heightened libido after sharing the dessert." A majority also
stated that the "visual effect and appearance of the dessert put them in the mood
for love." Overwhelmingly, the folks that tested the recipe said they would like to
have more aphrodisiac desserts like this with their partner.
"While our small study is not scientific, the outcome definitely can make one wonder
about the power behind the Gemperle egg and the Chocolate Chili Molten Lover Cake,"
 Gemperle said.
This lover-approved Valentine's treat is quick and easy. When baking, use a very
mild chili, such as Ancho or California. The idea is a spice with a subtle kick, not
for your lover to run away from the table. You can also omit the chili and still have
 a seductive Valentine's dessert.

Chocolate Chili Molten Lover Cake
Ingredients:
  • 1 stick butter (1/2 cup)
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 Tablespoon mild chili powder, such as Ancho or California (optional)
  • 1 Teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 3 eggs plus 3 egg yolks
  • 2 Tablespoons honey
  • Sugar for dusting ramekin
  • Almonds, chopped for garnish
Directions:
  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  2. Butter four 6 oz. ramekins or four oven-safe 6 oz. coffee cups. Dust ramekins
  3. or cups with sugar.
  4. In a saucepan, combine butter, cinnamon, chili powder and chocolate chips
  5.  over low heat. Constantly stir until melted and well mixed. Remove from heat.
  6. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, honey, eggs, egg yolks and vanilla  until smooth.
  7. Add the slightly cooled chocolate mixture to the flour mixture and mix well.
  8.  Pour into prepared ramekins or cups.
  9. Bake for 12-14 minutes until the edges are dark and the top is just slightly firm.
  10. Remove from oven and let cool for about 5 minutes. Loosen the edges with
  11.  a sharp knife and invert each cake onto an individual serving plate. Sprinkle
  12.  with chopped almonds. Cake should be warm, and the insides should ooze out on the first spoonful.
*Makes four servings

Jack Valentine

Woo your loved one with some of Norwich’s unique Valentine’s traditions and impress your loved one with something quirky and different in the city of stories.

Did you know that Norwich used to have its own unique Valentine celebrations? During Victorian times it was customary to exchange gifts on Valentine’s Eve – 13th February – not just with your lover but all your loved ones, young and old alike. City shop windows were full of unusual gifts; clocks, umbrellas, vases, jigsaws, even writing desks!

While this tradition has faded into the past, today the Museum of Norwich at the Bridewell tells the full story with a dazzling visual display of presents and hand-embroidered cards. This year, 13th February, they are also celebrating the romantic date with a special one-off ‘museum late’ having teamed up with independent local truffle makers Booja-Booja . This event will present a wonderful evening of local history and chocolate. Visitors will be able to hear about the history of chocolate and chocolate making in Norwich, while sampling Booja-Booja’s delicious, organic, dairy-free chocolate truffles. The museum will be open between 6pm-9pm, for tickets call 01603 629127. This is just one of many chocolate events happening at the museum over half-term, visit their website to find out details of everything that is going on.

Another Norwich and Norfolk Valentine tradition is Jack Valentine. This mysterious Norfolk character (historically we don’t know where he comes from or what he looks like) would visit households across the county, leaving anonymous gifts on doorsteps for children and families. For the second year running, the award winning Norwich Lanes are reviving this tradition. Jack Valentine himself will be taking to the cobbled streets on Valentine’s Eve, giving away goody-bags of Lanes postcards and tasty treats from local traders and sharing the love by dropping into Lanes shops and bars to surprise you!
